Introduction:
Desilter is used as the stage 3 solids control for drilling mud, which makes separations between 15μm to 45um. A desliter is mainly made up of shale shaker, distribution manifold and hydrocyclones. KOSUN manufactures the DL series desilter with high quality and low cost.
Working principle:
Desilter is designed according to the principle of particle sedimentation, the separation medium drilling fluids produce certain pressure and
velocity when went through sand pump, which will helical enter into the cyclone along the inner wall of cyclone. The coarse particles, by the force of centrifugal force and gravity, will helical fall down along the inner wall of cyclone, then discharge from underflow orifice, and drop on the micromesh shale shaker to separate. The
rest of the medium will helical rise along the hydrocyclone.
